Job Summary

n

Join our finance team in Brisbane or Sydney as a Senior Financial Accountant. You will support management by providing accurate financial information, analysis and reporting, driving business strategy and process improvement.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Preparation & processing of month‐end journals
n
- Balance sheet and GL reconciliations to maintain accurate records
n
- P&L; variance analysis
n
- Reconciliation between ERP and back‐office/trading system
n
- Accurate recording and maintenance of Asset and Lease Registers
n
- Preparation and submission of monthly BAS returns
n
- Preparation of monthly divisional reporting
n
- Preparation of management, regulatory and statutory reports
n
- Preparation for quarterly and year‐end audits
n
- Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
n
- Preparation of FBT requirements
n
- Ad‐hoc financial analysis and trend analysis to drive tangible value
n
- Preparation of ad‐hoc reports and financial information with high accuracy
n
- Process improvement, standardisation and simplification
n
- Gain respect across the organisation
n

Qualifications

n

n
- CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years post‐qualification experience in commercial finance, ideally in financial services or technology
n
- Proven understanding of financial systems and report development
n
- Experience with debtor and creditor functions
n
- Advanced Excel and data management skills
n
- Knowledge of taxation law
n
- High attention to detail and strict confidentiality
n
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
n
- Effective time management, organisational and prioritisation skills
n
- Analytical thinking – willing to question processes and seek improvements
n
- Initiative in following up and resolving issues promptly
n
- Ability to identify problems and advise on resolution
n
- Implement process improvements, reduce manual work, increase efficiencies and cut costs
n
- Coaching and team‐management skills
n
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders
