A highly regarded Federal Government department is seeking to engageCyber Security Operations Specialists / SOC Analystto support its Cyber Security uplift Stream on a department wide ICT modernisation. You will play a key role in strengthening security monitoring capabilities, optimising SIEM performance, and enhancing visibility across enterprise systems in a complex, high-security environment. The successfulCyber Security Operations Specialists / SOC Analystwill be offered a contract on a newly established ICT modernisation program.

The successfulCyber Security Operations Specialists / SOC Analystwill be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Monitor, maintain, and optimise SIEM platforms, including log ingestion, dashboards, alerts, and correlation rules
- Investigate and triage security events, providing analysis and remediation recommendations across a multi-technology environment
- Enhance detection and response capabilities through threat hunting, automation (SOAR), and playbook development
- Identify anomalous behaviour (including UEBA) and support incident response activities with key stakeholders




- Contribute to reporting, continuous improvement, and the development of SOPs for cyber incident response

The successfulCyber Security Operations Specialists / SOC Analystwill have experience in the following:

- 2+ years' experience in SOC or security operations roles
- Ability to analyse logs in complex ICT environments and respond effectively to security alerts
- Working knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, and related monitoring technologies
- Understanding of cyber-attack tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), with the ability to identify them in a SOC setting
- Strong communication skills, with exposure to developing dashboards, reports, and response playbooks
