Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

Our people enable the Courts Group to deliver on each jurisdiction's own strategic priorities while also pursuing strategic opportunities that are interconnected and deliver benefits more broadly.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The MCV determines in excess of 200,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, dealing with over 90 percent of all adult cases that come before Victorian courts each year.

MCV aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.

About the Role

This role contributes to the development of safe and effective family violence practice across MCV.

We are seeking a team-oriented professional to join MCV as a Family Violence Capability Development Consultant. Reporting to the Family Violence Capability Development Lead, the role undertakes activities that build capability and support MCV staff's capacity to complete family violence risk assessments and management activities commensurate with their mapped MARAMIS responsibilities. This role works closely with the Court Programs and Strategy Division programs and with staff across multiple areas of MCV, including:

- Court operations
- The Service Centre
- Specialist Courts and Programs




- The Family Violence Practitioner workforce

This role is key to the design and delivery of:

- Small and large group training
- Individual coaching sessions
- The development and leading of targeted activities to support the broader workforce capability strategy

In addition, this role liaises and builds connections with internal and external partners to support MCV's ability to work across sectors.

About You

You will bring:

- Relevant qualifications in family violence and/or experience working with victim survivors and adults using family violence will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated understanding of the nature and dynamics of family violence and knowledge of family violence community resources and services.
- Demonstrated specialist understanding of the MARAM Framework and information sharing schemes.
