About our Client:
Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of roll-formed steel building products. They specialize in steel roofing, wall cladding, rainwater products (gutters and fascias), structural purlins, flooring, and roller doors for residential and commercial projects.
About the Role:
The role will involve working in their manufacturing section with machinery operating/manufacturing mill work. You will be responsible for operating and monitoring folding machinery to ensure products are manufactured safely, accurately and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate folding machines and associated equipment
- Read and follow job specifications and production instructions
- Check finished products for quality and accuracy
- Make machine adjustments as required
- Monitor production output and minimise waste
- Carry out basic machine maintenance and cleaning
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
About You
- Previous experience operating folding or production machinery
- Good grasp on mathematics
- Positive attention to detail and quality
- Ability to read and understand job specifications
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Strong reliability and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- A background in Sheet Metal would be highly regarded
