Fior Events is seeking an experienced Venue Operations Manager to join our energetic team in Parkville. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of venue operations, ensuring seamless event experiences for our clients. This is a pivotal position that will play a key role in the continued success of our glamourous wedding venue.
Work days would be 9am to 5pm Sunday to Thursday.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of our premier event venue, including staff scheduling, stock control, and budget management
- Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements and coordinate logistics to bring their vision to life
- Oversee the teams that deliver the setup, running, and pack down of events, ensuring high standards of service and presentation
- Lead, train and develop a team of venue managers, team leaders and support staff
- Monitor venue performance and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations
About you
- Significant experience (4+ years) in a similar venue operations or event management role
- Proven track record of successfully managing event venues and leading high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and staff
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work autonomously and calmly under pressure
- Familiarity with relevant health, safety and licensing regulations in the hospitality industry
