The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section(RFDSSE) is seeking a passionate and proactive Community Engagement Worker/Administratorto join our growing Mental Health & AoD team in Lightning Ridge.

n

Supported by significant funding to expand services across thelocal community, this dynamic role will play a key part in deliveringprevention, early intervention and recovery-focused AoD support programs.Working closely alongside a Mental Health Clinician and a multidisciplinaryteam, you'll help strengthen community connections, improve access to servicesand support positive outcomes for individuals and families.

This position is ideally based in Lightning Ridge,with opportunities to engage across the wider Walgett region.

About the Role

n

This is a highly autonomous role suited to someone who canconfidently work independently, take initiative and build strong relationshipsacross the community.

n

You'll be responsible for supporting the delivery of severalcommunity-based programs, working closely with schools, service providers andkey stakeholders to increase awareness, engagement and access to supportservices.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Delivering alcohol and other drug support, wellbeing and earlyintervention programs.
n
- Building strong relationships with schools, community organisationsand local service providers.
n
- Attending and contributing to interagency and stakeholder meetings.
n
- Facilitating group programs,



education sessions and communityengagement activities.
n
- Working collaboratively with the Mental Health Clinician andmultidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care.
n
- Identifying emerging community needs and proactively developingsolutions and opportunities.
n
- Supporting program administration, reporting and serviceimprovement initiatives.
n

About You

n

We're looking for a community-minded professional who is energetic,adaptable and passionate about supporting people in rural and remotecommunities.

n

You will bring:

n
- Qualifications in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Social Work, CommunityServices, Psychology, Health or a related discipline. (Cert 3 or workingtowards will be considered)
n
- Experience in community engagement, counselling, case management orAoD services.
n
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple organisationsand service systems.
n
- The ability to work independently and confidently managecompeting priorities.
n
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentationskills.
n
- A proactive mindset with the ability to think ahead,anticipate challenges and identify opportunities.
n
- A current driver's license and Working with Children Check
n
