Role Structure – Critical Care Rotation

- ICU – 6 months
n
- Anaesthesia – 3 months
n
- Emergency – 3 months
n

Clinical Exposure

n

- Advanced life support & resuscitation
n
- Arterial / central venous access
n
- Thoracotomy & emergency procedures
n
- Critical care patient management
n
- Multidisciplinary ICU care
n

Hospital Overview

n

The hospital is the main acute‐care facility for the region, employs over 1,000 staff and offers Emergency, medical,



surgical & orthopaedic services; ICU with high‐dependency and coronary care; Children's Ward and Maternity Unit; Regional Cancer Care Centre; Sub‐acute Mental Health Unit. It is undergoing a $500 million redevelopment, expanding services and facilities.

Requirements

- MBBS or equivalent
n
- AHPRA registration
n
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Medical Officer
