Industrial Relations (IR) Manager — Location: Eight Mile Plains. Full-Time | Permanent. Lead the future of work at Vertaview Group. Your Role at a Glance
n
Reporting to the Head of People Experience, this pivotal role will lead enterprise bargaining, manage industrial frameworks, and ensure compliance with workplace law — all while building strong, respectful relationships with unions, employees, and internal stakeholders.
n
Key responsibilities include leading enterprise bargaining, managing industrial relations legislation and governance, and delivering strategic guidance to senior leaders and HR for informed decision-making.

- Develop and implement industrial relations strategies in line with organisational goals.
n
- Lead and negotiate enterprise agreements and manage workplace consultations effectively.
n
- Provide expert industrial relations and employment law advice to senior leaders and HR to guide strategic decision-making.
n
- Ensure compliance with relevant industrial laws and regulations.
n
- Develop and implement contemporary IR frameworks and policies that drive compliance, engagement,
and a positive workplace culture.
n
- Build and maintain positive relationships with unions and other stakeholders.
n
- Prepare and deliver reports on industrial relations activities and outcomes.

What You'll Bring to the Table
n
n
- A strong background in industrial relations.
n
- A strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES, modern awards, and enterprise agreements.
n
- Proven success in enterprise bargaining and union engagement.
n
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, conflict management, and relationship-building skills.
n
- Experience conducting BOOT assessments and managing remuneration structures.
n
- High-level governance knowledge and risk mitigation skills.
n
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and lead through change.
n
- A collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
n

What You'll Need to Succeed
n
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Industrial Relations, Law, HR or a related field.
n
- Minimum 7+ years' experience in IR leadership roles, ideally within unionised and complex environments.
n
- Experience in health, aged care, disability, or community services (e.g., SCHADS, Nurses, Professional Health Services Awards).
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
n
- Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
n
