Job Overview

n

Komatsu Underground are on the hunt for a mechanical service technician to support our underground customers in the Mudgee region.

n

How you plan your week will depend on where you call home. You may be travelling to site and staying a few nights per week or driving daily to site if you live more locally to our customer sites.

n

You'll have the autonomy to plan your week according to your customer's requirements. Don't worry, first we ensure you're ready by providing you an extensive onboarding program and classroom-based product training at our training centre of excellence.

n

You'll bring:

- Mechanical Trade Qualification.
n




- Experience working underground with longwall or development mining equipment.
n
- Solid problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
n
- Able to work in an autonomous role.
n

Key job responsibilities:

n

n
- Provide customers with pro-active advice and support.
n
- Facilitate flawless start-up of Joy Global equipment.
n
- Support engineering and be directly involved with machine commissioning.
n
- Provide advanced technical support for Joy equipment in the field.
n
- Coordinate new product field trials and document results including any opportunities for product enhancement.
n
- Collate field data and evidence for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities for major failures and unresolved reliability issues.
n
- Engage with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to offer solutions for customer needs.
n
