Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Cyber Security Architect. In this role, you will play a key role in providing strategic architectural leadership across the Cyber Uplift Program, ensuring security initiatives align with enterprise architecture, government policy, and industry best practice while delivering measurable cyber risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish and govern target-state cyber architecture across multiple concurrent program initiatives, maintaining principles, standards, and reusable design patterns.
- Provide architectural leadership and design authority throughout project lifecycles—from discovery through implementation and operational transition.
- Support technical delivery teams to translate architecture into implementable outcomes that align with relevant enterprise architecture, government policy, and legislative requirements.
- Offer expert technical advice across the program, including procurement activities, technology evaluations, and vendor solution assessments.




- Mentor architects and technical specialists while promoting the reuse of standard architecture patterns across the program.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and executive audiences.

About You:

- 10+ years’ experience in cyber security architecture and technical leadership, with a robust background in large transformation programs within government or highly regulated environments.
- Deep understanding of ASD ISM, ASD Essential Eight, NIST CSF 2.0, ISO27001, and SABSA/TOGAF frameworks.
- Proven capability with Microsoft security tech, Identity platforms (Entra ID, IGA, PAM), SIEM/SecOps, Cloud security, Zero Trust/Conditional Access, and Endpoint security.
- Demonstrated ability to operate strategically, influence senior stakeholders, and provide trusted advice to executive teams.
- Mandatory CISSP (or equivalent experience). Highly desirable: SABSA, TOGAF, ASD Essential Eight Assessor, CRISC, or CISM certifications.
