Registered Nurse – Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery

Permanent Part time | 2–4 Days per Week | Newcastle, NSW

We are seeking an experienced, energetic and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our specialist plastic and cosmetic surgery practice in Newcastle.

n

This permanent part-time position offers 2–4 days per week, with some flexibility depending on the successful candidate's availability and the needs of the practice.

n

Our clinical services primarily include skin cancer surgery, body contouring and breast procedures. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, from pre-operative preparation through to post-operative recovery.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Providing pre- and post-operative nursing care
n
- Performing wound assessments, dressing changes and ongoing wound management
n
- Assisting with minor procedures performed in the practice
n
- Providing clear and compassionate patient education and support
n
- Coordinating patient care, follow-up appointments and clinical documentation
n
- Assisting with general clinical and administrative duties
n
- Maintaining high standards of infection prevention, patient safety and confidentiality




n
- Working collaboratively with the surgeon and wider practice team
n

About you

n

The ideal candidate will have:

n

n
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
n
- Previous surgical nursing experience
n
- Experience in plastic, cosmetic, perioperative or wound-care nursing, although this is not essential
n
- Strong wound-management and clinical assessment skills
n
- Excellent communication, organisational and documentation skills
n
- A warm, professional and patient-centred approach
n
- The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a close-knit team
n
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality care
n
