ABOUT THE ROLE

n

We are seeking a capable and dedicated Village Maintenance Officer to join our team on a full time basis at Watermark Freshwater, in Freshwater.

n

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for completing general maintenance services across our Village to ensure the site remains safe, well-maintained, and operating smoothly.

n

More specifically, your duties will include but are not limited to:

n

- Carry out general repairs and maintenance (reactive and scheduled)
n
- Perform a range of handyperson duties including patching, painting, and basic carpentry
n
- Assist with minor electrical work under supervision (where appropriate)
n




- Coordinate and oversee third-party contractors, ensuring compliance and quality outcomes
n
- Accurately log and track jobs using FM systems (e.g. FM Clarity)
n
- Identify defects and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
n
- Support continuous improvement of maintenance procedures
n
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with residents, staff, and contractors
n
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with policies and regulations
n

ABOUT YOU

n

To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experiences:

n

n
- Previous experience in a similar role including general maintenance
n
- A tertiary qualification/s in a Trade or a related discipline is highly desirable
n
- A Criminal Record Check
n
- Current Drivers Licence
n
- First Aid Certificate and CPR certification
n
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
n
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance
n
