Canex has an opportunity for 10 x Casual Hospitality and general Handypersons and Gardeners - Cairns, Port Douglas and surrounding regions, North Queensland.

Roles and Tasks

- Furniture removalist work
n
- Cleaning, general maintenance, gardening and mowing
n
- Light general labouring
n

n

For this exciting role you must have a good level of physical fitness, as you are often on your feet and active for the majority of your shift.

Requirements

- Ready and able to work long shifts (10+ hours a day)
n
- Be adaptable in your approach to work
n
- A great attitude with your work
n
- Be neat in tidy
n
- Be able to work alone or part of a team.
n
- Full training will provided.
n
- You will be required to work an average of 30hours per week.
n
- The term of work will be from August 2026 to May 2027
n
- You will be paid either under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009], the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award [MA000080],



General Retail Industry Award [MA000004] or the Restaurant Industry Award [MA000119] or Registered and Licensed Clubs Award [MA000058].
n
- The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Level 1 to level 3 $33.05/hr up to $40+ hr
n
- Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 11pm, 7 days per week.
n
- Overtime rates will be paid where applicable
n
- Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks.
n
