Mako's Swim School is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Development Swim Coach to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate coach who has a proven background in developing swimmers and is ready to play a key role in expanding our squad program across our Hervey Bay and Howard facilities.

Please note: This position is not suitable for entry-level coaches. Previous swim coaching experience is essential.

About the Role
n
As our Development Swim Coach, you will:
n
n
- Coach development and junior squad swimmers across two facilities.
n
- Deliver structured, engaging training sessions focused on technique, endurance and progression.
n
- Mentor swimmers as they transition from Learn to Swim into squad swimming.
n
- Monitor swimmer performance and provide regular feedback to swimmers and parents.
n
- Work alongside our coaching and Learn to Swim teams to strengthen our swimmer development pathway.
n
- Assist with swim meets, club activities and program development.
n
n
Essential Requirements
n
Applicants must have:
n
n
- Demonstrated experience coaching development or squad swimmers.
n
- Current swim coaching accreditation (or an equivalent Australian recognised qualification).
n
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
n
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain before commencing).
n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
n
- A positive, professional and team-focused attitude.
n
