Job Description
As a Business Analyst – Accounting & Payroll, you will play a key role in shaping the future of accounting software in Australia. Working closely with accounting firms (fiduciaries), product teams, and internal consultants, you'll help position Odoo as a fully AU-compliant, accountant-first solution.

This role combines hands-on project delivery, product evolution, and industry enablement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, impact, and working at the intersection of accounting and technology.

Responsibilities & Day-to-Day Activities
n
Project Delivery & Internal Enablement (~25%)
n
n
- Manage and deliver projects similar to Professional Services (PL) engagements, with a strong accounting focus
n
- Implement Odoo for SMEs, ensuring best practices in accounting and payroll configuration
n
- Support accounting- and payroll-driven implementations
n
- Organise and deliver internal training sessions for the PL team, focusing on accounting and payroll topics
n
n
Core Role Responsibilities (~75%)

Short-term focus
n
n
- Contribute to the evolution of Australian accounting and payroll localisation in Odoo
n
- Gather feedback from accounting firms (fiduciaries) and the wider market
n
- Leverage hands-on experience with a high volume of customers
n
- Define product specifications and functional improvements
n
- Monitor market trends and legal/regulatory changes
n
- Test and validate solutions developed by technical teams
n
n
Mid-term focus
n
n
- Onboard and enable accounting firms to adopt Odoo as their preferred solution for managing client portfolios
n
n
Long-term focus
n
n
- Participate in and organise accounting-focused business events, roadshows, and industry exhibitions in collaboration with fiduciaries
n
n
