The Opportunity

HammondCare's Respite Cottages provide short‐term accommodation and individualized support for older guests during stays of up to ten nights. As a Specialised Carer you'll deliver personalized care and create a welcoming, home‐like environment.

About the role

n

In this role you will provide care for clients across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills Cottages. Hourly rates range from $31.95 to $35.44, plus penalties. Shifts include:

n

- Morning shift – 7:15am to 2:45pm
n
- Afternoon shift – 2:45pm to 9:45pm
n
- Night shift – 9:30pm to 7:45am
n

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
n
- Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
n
- Support guests during overnight or extended stays
n
- Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
n
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally
n

n

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Available to work across Wahroonga & Terrey Hills sites
n
- Patient, solutions‐focused, and a people‐person
n
- Previous experience in aged or community care, or willingness to start a career in aged care
n
- Valid driver's licence and access to an insured, reliable car
n
- CertificateIII in Aged Care or Individual Support (preferred,



but not required – we offer support for those wishing to qualify)
n
- First aid certificate desirable
n
- Empathy and compassion are a must
n
- Good administrative and computer skills, including use of a smartphone
n
- Solid team player with professional communication and confidentiality
n
