The Opportunity

Join a collaborative team of experienced consultants, registrars, resident medical officers and interns, supported by dedicated nursing, pharmacy and allied health teams.

The Department Provides Comprehensive Paediatric Services Including

n

- General inpatient paediatric care
n
- Specialist outpatient clinics
n
- Emergency paediatric services
n
- Regional outreach clinics
n
- Neonatal services
n
- Diabetes and chronic disease management
n
- Developmental and community paediatric services
n

A key feature of the service is the Level 4 Special Care Nursery, providing advanced neonatal care and respiratory support for newborns.

Key Responsibilities You Will

n

n
- Deliver high-quality paediatric care across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings
n
- Manage complex neonatal and paediatric presentations
n
- Provide specialist support to regional and rural facilities throughout Central Queensland
n
- Participate in outreach clinics and telehealth services
n
- Supervise and mentor registrars, junior doctors and medical students




n
- Lead quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives
n
- Participate in the consultant on-call roster
n
- Contribute to service development and innovation across the region
n

Requirements To Be Considered, Applicants Must Possess

n

n
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics and Child Health, or equivalent specialist qualification
n
- Specialist Registration with AHPRA, or eligibility for registration
n
- Broad experience across General Paediatrics and Neonatal Care
n
- Commitment to high-quality regional healthcare delivery
n
- Strong interest in teaching, mentoring and clinical leadership
n
