This is an excellent prospect for recent graduates or early‐career candidates to support the delivery of engaging and high‐quality practical science programmes for students in Years 5–12.

Key Responsibilities
n
Reporting to the STEM Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Technician plays a key role in supporting teaching staff and ensuring the effective operation of science laboratories.
n
n
- Prepare, test and set up experiments, practical activities and demonstrations
n
- Provide in‐class support during practical lessons as required
n
- Maintain laboratories, equipment and scientific resources
n
- Manage stock, purchasing and inventory systems
n
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements
n
- Maintain laboratory records, documentation and digital resources
n
- Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance practical learning experiences
n
n
Skills and Experience
n
n
- You are a proactive and detail‐oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative school environment.
n
- Experience supporting science laboratories (school‐based experience highly regarded)
n
- Strong organisational,
administrative and time management skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‐solving ability
n
- High‐level digital literacy (Microsoft Office; Synergetic experience advantageous)
n
- A positive, flexible and team‐oriented approach
n
- A commitment to maintaining safe laboratory practices
n

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in Science, particularly in Biology
n
- Victorian Working With Children Check (Employee) is required prior to commencement.
n
- Driver's licence to collect supplies and materials.
