Location: South Western Sydney, NSW – Western NSW hospital, 712 km northwest of Sydney, approximately 4,098 residents.

Salary: AUD 2,000 per day (approximately AUD 2,000 per year).

Responsibilities

n

n
- Cover emergency department (ED) and ward operations, acting as the sole doctor on call 24/7.
n
- Perform in-person triage for categories 1–5 between 08:00 and 20:00 hrs.
n
- Overnight (20:00 – 08:00 hrs) review all Category 1,



2 and 3 ED presentations in person; review Category 4 and 5 presentations at discretion, attending requests from nurses or clinicians.
n
- Respond to inpatient deteriorations and attend when called by staff.
n
- Conduct ward rounds and ED reviews; finalisation time negotiable with the site.
n
- Provide comprehensive 24‐hour emergency care, acute/subacute inpatient services, outpatient services, and primary/community health services including renal dialysis, wound management, medication delivery, hospital‐in‐the‐home, chronic disease case management, and palliative care.
n
- Support specialist medical and allied health visits as part of an outreach service.

Qualifications

n

n
- Registered medical practitioner with AHPRA.
n
- Right to work in Australia.
n
