About the Role

n

We're looking for a proactive, product‐focused Senior Android Engineer who's excited to take on multiple responsibilities and ship features that bring joy to users and value to restaurants. You'll join a team where you can have real influence, wide scope, and room to grow in a fun and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

- Collaborating with cross‐functional teams
n
- Designing and building advanced features and systems for iOS in Swift and Objective C
n
- Mentoring and influencing team members
n
- Improving application performance
n
- Continuously improving application and code quality
n

n

Qualifications

n

n
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
n
- A minimum of 3–5 years of commercial experience as a Senior Engineer working in Java
n
- Full working rights in Australia

Required Skills

n

n
- Years of experience as a Senior Engineer working in Android development
n
- Experienced in both Java and Kotlin
n
- You've shipped apps to Google Play
n
- You love building beautiful, smooth, pixel‐perfect UIs
n
- Proficient in creating practical and fun user interfaces
n
- Confident working with native APIs and creating performant implementations
n
- Strong understanding of Software Development principles
n
- Excellent problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
n
- Experience with REST and GraphQL
n
- Solid experience and excellent grasp in performance tuning and debugging
n
- Proficient in automated unit testing and writing testable code
n
- Familiar with contemporary app architectures and design patterns
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- A mentoring and influencing mindset
n
- A proactive mindset, ready to roll up your sleeves
n

Preferred Skills

n

n
- Have experience with AWS (S3, AppSync, API Gateway, Lambda, etc.)
n
- Have experience in building automated CI/CD pipelines
n
- Love food, restaurants, and dining out
n
