Clayton Utz's Major Projects & Construction team is a leading practice in the Asia Pacific region, involved in the most significant infrastructure and procurement projects. This role will support a wide range of public and private sector clients across transport, social infrastructure, energy, health, housing, and telecommunications sectors, providing trusted advice from business case development to procurement and delivery.

Responsibilities

n

As a senior lawyer in this practice you will:

n

- Consult on large-scale major projects, covering all stages from feasibility to delivery.
n
- Provide timely, accurate and commercially astute advice to clients on contractual, regulatory and risk matters.
n
- Draft and review project documentation, including agreements, consents, and procurement instruments.
n
- Work closely with developers, owners, government agencies, financiers, project managers, consultants and contractors.
n
- Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to address project challenges.
n

Qualifications

n





Minimum 2 years PQE with a background and passion in construction and projects.

n

n
- High-quality private practice experience and/or exceptional experience working in‐house within government, construction or projects industry.
n
- Strong academic record and drafting skill.
n
- Ability to provide timely, accurate and commercially astute advice.
n
- Proactive, self‐starter mindset with resilience and attention to detail.
n
- Ability to work autonomously and across a variety of clients and work streams.
