Our Boys' Secondary School is currently looking for an exceptional Secondary English Teacher preferably with Learning Enhancement experience.

n

This is a permanent, part-time position offering a .6 load across 4 days commencing January 2026.

n

Responsibilities and Requirements

n

n
- Planning and implementation of a curriculum of teaching programs or courses of study using a range of teaching techniques and materials
n
- Planning, implementing and marking a variety of assessment tasks to monitor students' progress
n
- Implementation of strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
n
- Maintenance of records of class attendance and recording of student progress
n
- Liaison with students and parents
n
- Implementation of effective student management strategies consistent with the school's behaviour management plan
n
- Attendance at regular staff and curriculum planning meetings
n
- Provide supervision of students during recess, as timetabled
n
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment and develop positive relationships with students, staff,



parents and the wider school community
n
- Differentiate teaching and assessment to support a wide range of learners, including those with specific learning needs, high‐ability students, and students requiring short‐term intervention
n

About You

n

n
- Tertiary qualifications in Education (Bachelor degree or higher)
n
- Current VIT registration
n
- Comfort and experience in teaching Secondary level English
n
- High level of attention to detail and empathy, with the ability to adapt to students' needs
n
- A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
n
