Role Overview

Looking to join one of Australia's most integral federal government departments? This department helps to make the lives of all Australians safer and is looking for a Service Transition Lead. Working in one of our offices in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney, you will lead readiness planning, coordinate across technical and operational teams, and ensure a smooth cutover and handover.

Responsibilities

- Plan and manage operational readiness and transition activities.
n
- Lead trials, rehearsals, and validation to ensure workforce and system readiness.
n
- Coordinate stakeholders, teams, and external vendors to deliver on schedule.
n
- Ensure compliance with safety, risk, and regulatory requirements.
n
- Maintain operational integrity across systems, regulatory environments, and operations.
n




- Ensure day‐one operational readiness.
n

n

Qualifications

n

n
- Proven experience leading system transitions in safety‐critical industries.
n
- Robust stakeholder management and leadership skills.
n
- Experience with operational readiness planning, system integration, and change management.
n
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in engineering, systems, or operations.
n
- Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
n

Compensation & Contract

n

Contract role with a duration of 2 years. Rates based on your experience around $1100 per day. Option to work in Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney office based on your location.
