Alliance Australia is seeking an experienced WHS Manager on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to lead our national Work Health & Safety and Injury Management function across a large on-hire workforce.

Base in our Sydney CBD Head office and reporting to the CEO Alliance Australia, this senior role is responsible for driving WHS strategy, compliance and culture, while leading a geographically dispersed team of WHS professionals. You'll partner closely with operational leaders, clients and regulators to ensure safe, compliant and best-practice working environments across our labour hire and community services operations.

About the role
n
n
- Lead and continuously improve WHS & Injury Management frameworks aligned to legislation and industry best practice.
n
- Drive a proactive safety culture focused on prevention, education and accountability.
n
- Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
n
- Manage injury management and return-to-work programs in collaboration with insurers and medical providers.
n
- Plan and deliver WHS audits and support regulatory compliance activities.
n
- Provide high-quality WHS reporting and insights to senior leaders and the Board.
n
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of WHS Officers nationally.
n
- Build solid relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, regulators and industry bodies.
n

About you
n
You're a confident WHS leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to influence at all levels.
n
n
- 8+ years' experience in WHS, including leadership of WHS teams.
n
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, workers compensation and return-to-work frameworks.
n
- Proven experience in incident investigation, audits and risk management.
n
- Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- Experience working across complex, multi-site or labour hire environments.
n
- A relevant tertiary qualification in WHS or a related discipline.
n
- Willingness to travel interstate and regionally as required.
n
n
