Our client is a leader in the industry providing comprehensive maintenance and reactive services to large commercial, industrial and manufacturing food and beverage equipment across Australia. Due to growth, we are seeking an Mechanical Service Technician to join their team in Brisbane to conduct service and maintenance on equipment across the region, whilst developing and building relationships with customers.
The role:
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints and technical specifications.
- Assemble and disassemble machinery and equipment according to instructions.
- Install, align, and adjust mechanical components and systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure machinery is running smoothly and efficiently.
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components to ensure machinery is functioning properly.
- Operate various hand and power tools to perform assembly and repair work.
- Test and troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve any performance issues.
- Document all work performed, including repairs, adjustments, and maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers and technicians, to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
What we're looking for:
- Mechanical aptitude or qualification in mechanical of fitting
- Experience with welding and qualifications/hot works ticket
- Valid Driver's license
- Attention to detail
- Service work experience and/or industrial experience.
- Availability for On Call on a rostered basis.
- Excellent customer service.
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Able and willing to use PDA (handheld computer).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, balance the competing demands, work to deadlines.
- Proactive approach in all aspects of job.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- A highly motivated self-starter
