Leading Hand/Team Leader - Manufacturing

About the role

We're looking for a reliable, physically capable Leading Hand/Team Leader. This is a genuinely hands‑on production role where you'll lead by example — running the floor, supporting the team, and keeping things moving . Working on the production floor along with supporting the Production Supervisor with workflow coordination as well as helping bring newer team members up to speed. It's physical, it's varied, and it's a role where your work ethic will be noticed.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this permanent, full-time role will see you provide day-to-day leadership and operational support across our Production Department. You will play a key role in coordinating daily production activities while working alongside the team on the floor. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys mentoring others, driving performance, and maintaining strong safety and quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

- Provide hands‑on leadership and direction to production employees
- Coordinate daily workflow to meet production targets and deadlines




- Promote and maintain safe work practices and compliance with site procedures
- Monitor job progress, workflow efficiency, and quality of completed work
- Assist with problem‑solving and elevate issues when required
- Foster a positive, accountable, and productive team culture
- Liaise closely with the Production Supervisor and workshop teams to ensure smooth operations
- Coordinate, and support a team of production operators
- Oversee daily production targets, quality standards, and safety compliance
- Operate and monitor production machinery
- Train, mentor, and develop team members
- Troubleshoot machine and workflow issues to minimise downtime
- Promote a safe, efficient, and positive work environment

About You

This is a role for someone who takes pride in their work, turns up ready to go, and wants to build something for themselves. We're looking for:-

- Previous experience as a Team Leader or Senior Operator in manufacturing, or production environments
- Robust leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- Hands‑on approach with the ability to lead by example
- Physically fit and comfortable in a quick‑paced environment
- Safety‑focused with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- A strong work ethic and the drive to do more.
- A natural leader who leads by example and thrives in a team‑based manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety
- Good communication skills and the ability to motivate others. Physically fit and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, organized and quality‑focused
