Wellways – Senior Wellbeing Navigator Peer (Lived Experience Lead)

Lead and mentor a lived‐experience workforce through peer supervision; shape mental health reform through recovery‐oriented, trauma‐informed practice.

Responsibility

n

n
- Provide intentional peer support (IPS) to participants experiencing complex mental health challenges.
n
- Co‐reflexion, peer supervision, mentoring and day‐to‐day practice support for Wellbeing Navigator Peers.
n
- Model IPS principles and tasks; foster a culture recognising the unique contribution of peer work.
n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to strengthen the integration of lived‐experience approaches.
n
- Champion recovery‐oriented, trauma‐informed and human rights‐based practice across the service.
n
- Influence ongoing mental health reform and support the growth of the peer workforce.
n

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Personal experience of distress, trauma, mental illness and/or substance use and a recovery journey.
n




- Completion of Intentional Peer Support core or advanced training (essential).
n
- Minimum qualification: Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, AoD, Community Services, or equivalent.
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a consumer peer work role.
n

- Current valid driver's licence and the ability to travel for the role.
n
- Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
n
- Right to work within Australia.
n
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check (valid within the last 12 months).
n
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
n

- Salary $51.00 – $53.31 per hour (SCHADS Level 5B) + leave loading + super.
