We're looking for a driven Technical Sales Specialist to combine HVAC&R; expertise with business development to grow our customer base and deliver innovative solutions.

About the role

This is more than a sales role. You'll be the trusted technical advisor for customers, helping them identify the right HVAC&R; solutions while developing strong relationships and uncovering new business opportunities.

Working closely with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, you'll provide technical advice, equipment selection, and tailored solutions that deliver successful project outcomes. Your ability to identify opportunities, build lasting partnerships, and drive sales growth will be key to your success.

Key responsibilities

Drive sales growth by developing new business opportunities and strengthening existing customer relationships.

Provide technical advice and equipment selection support across a range of HVAC&R; applications.

Prepare and follow up quotations, ensuring solutions meet customer needs and commercial objectives.

Work closely with customers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

Identify market opportunities, monitor industry trends, and contribute to sales strategies and forecasting.

Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline management through CRM systems.

Champion a strong safety culture and represent Beijer Ref Australia professionally in the market.

About you

You're a relationship-builder with a strong technical understanding of HVAC&R; systems and a passion for helping customers find the right solution.



You enjoy being out in the market, identifying opportunities, solving problems, and turning conversations into long-term partnerships.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

Experience in technical sales, business development, engineering or a similar role within the HVAC&R; industry.

Strong knowledge of HVAC&R; equipment, applications, and system selection.

A customer-focused approach with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

A proactive, self-motivated and results-driven mindset.

Robust commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Highly regarded:

Engineering, Business, Marketing or related qualifications.

Experience within wholesale, distribution or supplier environments.
