About the Role
We are seeking an organised and experienced Airfreight Operator to manage the coordination of our airfreight export shipments.
This is a hands on operations role responsible for coordinating airfreight orders from receipt through to final dispatch. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses and internal sales and procurement teams to ensure shipments are completed accurately, compliantly and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate end-to-end airfreight export shipments, including chilled, frozen and ambient.
Arrange freight bookings and liaise with airlines, freight forwarders and transport providers.
Prepare and review commercial invoices, packing lists and export documentation.
Coordinate health certificates,
certificates of origin and other government or customer-required documents.
Liaise with suppliers regarding product availability, production dates and delivery schedules.
Coordinate incoming stock and deliveries with the warehouse.
Monitor shipment deadlines and provide regular updates to customers and internal teams.
Maintain accurate shipment records, costing information and supporting documentation.
Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to avoid shipment delays.
Ensure all shipments follow Australian export requirements and internal compliance procedures.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in airfreight operations, freight forwarding, exports or international logistics.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments.
Solid organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Confidence using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and general business systems.
Experience with food, FMCG, chilled or frozen exports would be highly regarded.
