The purpose of this position is to carry out all aspects of the startup, commissioning, testing and maintenance of large-scale industrial LV switchboards.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Delivery of project site works on LV switchgear panels (3200-6200A 415Vac) - Commissioning, testing and handover to customers over multiple industrial projects with main focus on DATACENTERS
n
- Investigation of site issues/breakdowns with view to carrying out repairs as necessary.
n
- Completion of preventative maintenance tasks for all aspects of LV switchgear panels (ACBs-MCCBs)
n
- Preparation of all tools, test equipment and site documentation for project/maintenance activities.
n
- Communication and interface with clients, sub-contractors and various internal Vertiv departments to ensure timely progress and meet project/contract milestones.
n
- Liaise with department internal procurement for any additional material requirements/manufacturing needs to close out defect lists.
n
- Management of site related paperwork, ensuring documentation is signed off by all relevant parties and uploaded to client portals in a timely manner.
n
- Responsibility for safe working practices on-site and ensuring all relevant WHS procedures are adhered to.
n
- Some remote travel may be required.

Education and Qualification

n

- Unrestricted electrical licence is mandatory
n
- White card
n
- Drivers licence
n

Specialist Knowledge

n

n
- Working knowledge of Electrical Drawings/Control Systems
n
- Experience in Troubleshooting
n
- Electrical Engineering Background
n
- Experience in the use of product specific Software
n

n

Practical Experience

n

n
- Familiar with all aspects of electrical panel testing & fault finding
n
- Competency in primary & secondary injection testing
n
- Competency in flash testing
n
- Good working knowledge of LV Switchgear and Protection devices
n
- Good understanding of safe isolation and electrical safety
n
- Familiar with maintaining accurate and detailed completion of test documentation
n
- Experience with Client Factory Acceptance Tests / Site Acceptance Tests
n
- Fully flexible to work additional hours on request
n
- This is a site-based role and majority of work time will be based on-site or travelling
n
