We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Business Development Manager to drive enrolments and expand our presence across the vocational education and training sector in QLD and NSW.

Working with employers, schools, government agencies, community organisations and industry partners, you will identify workforce development opportunities and connect clients with suitable accredited and non-accredited training solutions.

This is a relationship-driven role suited to someone that understands the Australian VET sector, enjoys building partnerships and can convert opportunities into sustainable enrolments and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve enrolment and revenue targets.

- Identify and pursue new opportunities with employers, schools, government agencies, industry groups and community organisations.

- Build strategic partnerships that support traineeships, apprenticeships and workforce development programs.

- Promote our qualifications, short courses, delivery options and available funding pathways.

- Conduct client needs analyses and recommend tailored training solutions.

- Prepare professional proposals, quotations, service agreements and client correspondence.

- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients and enrolment opportunities.

- Maintain accurate lead, opportunity and sales information within our CRM system, including Zoho CRM.

- Liaise with the Events Officer to ensure attendance at industry events, expos and networking functions to generate leads and strengthen brand awareness.

- Work closely with the training and compliance teams to confirm delivery capability and ensure proposed solutions meet regulatory requirements.





- Monitor relevant funding programs and communicate opportunities and changes to clients, including VETiS, CSQ, User Choice and Workforce Australia.

- Prepare monthly business development reports, forecasts and pipeline updates for management.

About you

- Demonstrated experience in business development, account management or sales.

- Experience within an RTO, the VET sector, workforce development, employment services or a related industry.

- A sound understanding of traineeships, apprenticeships and government-funded training programs.

- A proven ability to build relationships with employers, schools, government representatives and community stakeholders.

- Strong commercial awareness and a track record of achieving enrolment, sales or revenue targets.

- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

- The ability to understand client workforce needs and translate them into practical training solutions.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.

- Experience using CRM systems, preferably Zoho CRM.

- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with training, administration and compliance teams.

- A current driver licence and the capacity to attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions as required.
