We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our broking team. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys managing and developing client relationships, but is also ready to broaden their impact through people leadership, current business and a greater contribution to the team and wider business.

About the Role

As an Account Manager, you will take ownership of an established portfolio of corporate clients, building strong relationships and delivering high quality insurance advice and broking solutions.

You will bring strong product and market knowledge and the confidence to manage client relationships and insurance programs with a high degree of autonomy. You will understand your clients' businesses, identify their evolving risks and work with insurers to deliver appropriate solutions and outcomes.

Importantly, this role goes beyond managing your own portfolio. You will lead and develop a small team, drive and contribute to new business and portfolio growth, and play an active role in the performance, capability and culture of the broader team.

About you





You will have demonstrated experience at Account Manager level within general insurance broking and be comfortable independently managing a portfolio and established client relationships.

You will also bring:

Diploma in Broking qualifications.

Strong knowledge of general insurance products, policy wordings and insurance principles.

Demonstrated experience managing and growing a portfolio.

Strong technical broking, placement and insurer negotiation capability.

A genuine focus on developing long term client relationships and delivering great client outcomes.

Sound commercial judgement and the ability to understand client business needs and risk profiles.

Experience managing, mentoring or developing others, with an interest in building your people leadership capability.

A proactive approach to new business, referrals and opportunities for growth.

Confidence to take ownership, make decisions and provide guidance to others.

You are someone who wants to have an impact beyond your own client portfolio. You enjoy sharing knowledge, developing others, building relationships and contributing to the success of the broader team and business.
