Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their growing business.

n

Experience can be in either Civil or Demolition or both, flexible on background. Ideally having worked on projects circa $10m or larger.

n

Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects.

n

Types of projects include demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5m to $50m however can go up to $100m+.

n

Candidates will need to have solid communication skills as will be part of the preconstruction team and will be involved in putting the tender together as well as tender interviews.

n

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

n

- Working on tenders
n
- Coordinating internal and external resources
n
- Preparation and submission of tenders
n




- Evaluate / review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness
n
- Tender negotiations
n
- Coordinate tender handover to project team
n
- Prepare budgets based on tender submission
n
- Assess and price contract variation orders
n
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants
n

n

Qualifications and Requirements:

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
n
- 5 – 10+ years' management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $20m+
n
- Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
n
- Effective problem-solving abilities
n
- High level of commercial acumen
n
- High level of organisation and time management skills
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
