The typical caseload includes Orthopedic, Cardiac, Neurology, Pulmonary, and general reconditioning patients, across both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant to support our Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation programs. Working closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and exercise physiologists, you will help deliver high-quality care across a broad range of clinical areas, including orthopaedic, pulmonary, reconditioning, neurological, cardiac, and geriatric rehabilitation.

This role encompasses clinical, administrative, and patient transport duties and requires excellent organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The position is casual, with availability required on weekdays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist clinicians with individual and group therapy programs.
- Support patients with prescribed rehabilitation and exercise programs under delegation.
- Prepare treatment areas and maintain rehabilitation equipment.
- Complete administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation,



and data entry directed by clinicians
- Transport patients safely into the 8-seater van for outpatient programs

SKILLS REQUIRED/EXPERIENCE

- Currently studying or have completed a degree in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, and Occupational Therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Understanding of Allied Health Assistant scope of practice and delegation principles.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email communication.
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
- Category A Healthcare Worker immunisation compliance and evidence of required vaccinations (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
