- Contract Duration: 04 Months

- Working Arrangement: Part Time / Full Time

- Eligibility: You must need to have Baseline Security clearance

- Tentative Start Date: 2nd March 2026

Please note: Weekly on-site visits are required, on-site at least 1 day per week for part-time candidates, and 2 days per week for full time candidates

n

Flexible working arrangement can be considered for the successful candidate after completion of training on site.

n

Position Description:

n

The successful candidate/s will be responsible for compiling and checking geoscientific data, including geological logs and borehole reports, groundwater data and geophysical metadata to support the Department project.

n

Tasks can be repetitive and require a high level of attention to detail as the data gathered provides an important foundation for geological models and maps that will be produced in future years.

n

Key duties and responsibilities:

n

n
- Compile data from structured and unstructured geoscientific reports and spreadsheets into templates and formats suitable for database entry.
n
- Be required to make subject-matter decisions about mineral system classifications, groundwater, stratigraphy,



geochronology, and/or geophysics in line with provided standards.
n
- Enter data into databases such as geological samples, hydrochemistry, water level, rock properties, boreholes, geochemistry, lithostratigraphy, mineral resources, geophysical surveys and geochronology.
n
- Undertake basic QA/QC of geological and related data.
n
- Consult with various SMEs about work completed and meet required timeframes for individual tasks.
n

Technical skills:

n

n
- Proficiency with data management applications, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
n
- Experience with SQL or Oracle databases systems is advantageous but not required.
n
- Geoscience qualifications/background and proven work experience.
n
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
n
- Experience working in teams and with diverse groups.
n
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
n
- Familiarity/experience with coding languages and software.
n
