The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for Assistants in Nursing to join our permanent and casual pool at Mayo Private Hospital on our Medical / Surgical / Rehabilitation Ward. Reporting to our Nurse Unit Manager, you will work within a supportive, dynamic team of dedicated nurses and allied health professionals providing quality, evidence-based care.

n
- Hold Certificate 3 in Health Services Assistant
n
- Proven experience in assisting patients in matters of personal hygiene, toileting, pressure area care, feeding
n
- Under the supervision of senior nursing team, perform, record and report general observations such as blood, pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and temperature
n
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a high-pressure environment
n
- Effective communication and time management
n
- Current NSW working with children check
n
- National Police Check certificate – No older than 3 months on application
n
- Experience in the Hospital setting
n
