ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Graduate Human Resources Officer provides practical HR support across the HR Team, with a particular focus on training and development, injury management, recruitment and onboarding, and employee relations. This is a development-focused role for a recent HR graduate who wants broad,



hands-on experience within a fast-paced Australian manufacturing environment and a global organisation. The role works closely with the HR team, managers, leaders and employees and is expected to build a visible, approachable presence across both office and shop-floor areas. Success in the role requires a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, sound judgement, confidentiality, a willingness to learn working with a blue-collar workforce.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support end-to-end recruitment for production, trade, technical and professional roles.
- Coordinate inductions, compliance training, refresher training and development activities.
- Maintain training records, competency matrices, licences and expiry dates.
- Support injury reporting, workers compensation administration and return-to-work processes.
- Coordinate documentation and communication with employees, managers, insurers and rehabilitation providers.
- Provide first-level support on HR policies, attendance, leave and employment processes.
- Assist with performance, conduct, grievance and investigation processes under HR Manager guidance.
- Maintain accurate employee files and HR system data
- Prepare contracts and HR documentation
- Support internal communications to share company updates with staff
- Build strong working relationships with employees, supervisors and managers across operational areas.
- Spend regular time on the shop floor and develop an understanding of manufacturing priorities and workforce requirements.
- Comply with site safety requirements and support injury prevention, wellbeing and safe work practices.Handle employee information confidentially and support consistent application of company policies and workplace requirements.
- Participate in HR projects, employee engagement initiatives and process improvements.
- Actively build HR capability through feedback, coaching and exposure to a broad range of HR activities.





COMPETENCIES

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail and effective organisation/follow-through.
- High discretion, integrity and confidentiality when handling employee information.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; exposure to HRIS, recruitment or learning systems is desirable.
- Positive, resilient and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

- Recently completed or nearing completion of a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employment/Industrial Relations, Business, Psychology or a related discipline.
- Foundation knowledge of Australian workplace relations, the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and modern awards is desirable.
- Graduate or early-career level; HR internship, work placement, recruitment, administration or customer-facing experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Manufacturing, warehousing, trades or blue-collar exposure is desirable.
- Strong interest in developing across recruitment, training, injury management, employee relations and generalist HR.

This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test
