Senior Business Analyst (SME) - Disaster Management Planning

We are currently on the lookout for a seasoned Business Analyst or Consultant with proven experience in disaster management planning to support a high-impact Utility initiative focused on resilience, emergency response, and strategic preparedness. This role will play a critical part in shaping frameworks that protect communities and infrastructure across Victoria.

12-24 month ongoing contract to start later this year or in Jan 2026

n

Work on a statewide disaster management program for a leading Utility

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Collaborate with stakeholders across emergency services, government, and infrastructure to gather and document business requirements
n
- Analyse current disaster response frameworks and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
n
- Develop process maps, functional specifications, and business cases aligned with disaster recovery and continuity planning
n
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to drive consensus and clarity
n
- Support the design and implementation of technology solutions that enhance emergency preparedness and response
n

About You

n

n
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in disaster management, emergency services, or risk planning
n




- Experience working in the Energy sector is a huge bonus but not mandatory
n
- Strong understanding of business continuity, crisis response, and resilience frameworks
n
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
- Familiarity with project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
n
- Get in early on a multi-year disaster management program for a leading Utility
n
