The role

n

We are currently seeking a Transport Sector Leader for QLD/NT to provide leadership and assist in optimizing resource utilisation and the delivery of expertise toearth. The role will also coordinate marketing activities within our Transport Sector, covering Roads & Highways, Rail & arquivo, Ports & Maritime, and Aviation. The incumbent will assist in overseeing utilisation of all human and other resources in providing SMEC services across the Transport Sectors.

Responsibilities

- Supports the transport leadership in providing strategic and operational direction.
n
- Assists the transport leadership in managing and achieving effective utilisation of all human and other resources.
n
- Supports the transport leadership team in coordinating and prioritising national support services to State Transport Sector teams.
n
- Provides transitional expertise, client‐service support, reporting and business development activities.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- 15+ years of industry experience, recognised as an authority in the transport infrastructure design market.
n
- Experience in Manager/Team Lead roles within engineering consulting organisations.
n
- Ability to manage multi‐disciplinary projects to budget and client specifications.
n
- Capability to build trusting and productive client and stakeholder relationships.
n
- Experience in client‐facing or business development functions for multi‐sector pursuits.
n
- Change‐ready mindset encouraging cross‐pollination across regions, businesses, and sectors.
n
- Experience producing major tender/proposal documents of an excellent standard and in a timely‐manner.
n
- Robust team‐management skills with a focus on performance and cohesion.
n
- Recognition as a local authority in the transport industry.
