Treasury is seeking dynamic senior executives at the SES Band 2 level to drive Australia's economic agenda and manage, develop, and advise on policies supporting the effectiveness and sustainability of Australia's economic environment.

Responsibilities

You will lead a division, including people, governance, financial and risk management, and you will set the strategic direction for your division while collaborating with the Executive, Ministers and key internal and external stakeholders.

Experience Requirements

- Exceptional leadership skills in building and developing high‐performing and diverse teams
n
- Well‐developed judgement and strategic thinking to manage broad work streams and anticipate issues
n
- Extensive experience in policy and program development of high importance
n
- Trusted and influential advice and analysis, harnessing expertise from a variety of sources

- Exceptional communication skills
n
- The highest levels of professionalism, integrity and stewardship
n
- Productive and collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders, inside and outside government
n
- Representation of Treasury and the Australian Government in a range of domestic and international forums
n
- Thriving under pressure and effectively performing in a quick‐paced and changing environment
n

Desirable Qualifications
n
Tertiary qualification(s) in economics, accounting, taxation, law, public policy, business and commerce is highly desirable.
