We have a high focus on customer service and getting the job done. Working as anExport Airfreight Operatorwithin the Airfreight department, this is a versatile role handling all aspects of the airfreight export process.
In this role you will be responsible for a large range of customers handling shipments from start to finish. Position is full time Monday to Friday 6am - 2.30pm. This entry level role will suit someone with a keen interest in airfreight and export operations. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
Main Duties will include:
- Receive/confirm bookings from shippers in a timely manner
- Confirm and book shipment with preferred carriers and issue booking confirmations direct to the customer
- Full registration of shipments and Invoicing clients directly in EDI Enterprise
- Cutting Air Waybills
- Lodge EDN's
- Generate Export permits and all other relevant DAWR documentation for cargo to be cleared for export
- Sending Pre-Alerts to clients
- Liaise with airline lines, our warehouse staff and service providers
- Process & respond to emails from customersDeliver a high level of customer service
Skills and Experience
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
- Experience in airfreight advantageous
- Knowledge of perishable freight movement advantageous
- Experience with CargoWise advantageous
