Senior Project Manager | Commercial Construction | $50 Million + Projects

About the Opportunity: Our client is a leading commercial construction company seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Project Manager to join their stellar team.

n

In this pivotal role, you will coordinate and control the design, procurement, and construction phases of commercial projects to ensure seamless delivery in accordance with client requirements.

n

You will act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, representing my client in all professional dealings, including design management and construction works delivery.

n

About the Role:

n

n
- Project Inception & Planning: Liaise with clients on project feasibility and delivery methodologies. Develop detailed project briefs, scopes, budgets, schedules, risk items, and project plans.
n
- Design & Consultant Management: Tender, procure, and manage design consultants. Establish consultant contracts, design service scopes of work, and project-specific design management plans.
n
- Commercial & Financial Control: Monitor project design costs, track variations, and prepare accurate monthly financial forecasts. Manage both Head Contract and Subcontract commercial processes.

- Stakeholder & Design Coordination: Chair design coordination and project control meetings. Keep all stakeholders (clients, consultants, construction teams, and statutory bodies) informed throughout the project lifecycle.

- Construction & Handover Support:



Oversee construction progress to ensure alignment with design intent, safety, and quality expectations through to commissioning and handover.

- Relationship & Business Development: Maintain solid industry networks and relationships to identify future capital expenditure and project opportunities.

About You:

- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and project management across commercial construction projects.
n
- Contract & Scope Management: In-depth experience developing and administering design services scopes of work and consultant contracts.
n
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of building constructive relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
n
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong risk identification skills with the ability to resolve issues proactively and make clear decisions.
n
- Technical Proficiency: Thorough understanding of QHSE legislative requirements. Experience using Microsoft Project for programming is highly desirable.
n
- Education: A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering) is desirable.
n
