Advance Careers is working with a growing renewable energy developer delivering utility-scale solar + battery projects across Australia. We're searching for a technically skilled Electrical Engineer to lead early-stage project design and support delivery through to commissioning.

n

This is a hands-on role driving feasibility, design, grid connection, and EPC engagement across NEM-connected and off-grid assets.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Lead feasibility studies, layouts, yield analysis (pvDesign), and site screening
n
- Support grid connection strategy and liaise with consultants on GPS & R1–R3 compliance
n
- Input into EPC tendering, equipment specs, and technical scope
n
- Work closely with an international EPC team and support delivery for smaller projects
n

n

What You'll Bring

n

n
- 3+ years' experience on utility-scale solar + BESS in Australia
n
- Strong design, compliance, and EPC interface knowledge
n
- Familiarity with AEMO, NER, GPS processes
n
- Proficiency in tools like pvDesign (RatedPower) highly regarded
n

n

The Role Setup

- ~70% office-based / 30% site-based
n
- Focus on early development now, with delivery work ramping up over 12–24 months
n
- Reporting to offshore EPC team
n
- Minimal external stakeholder interaction (~10%)
n
