Position Summary

n

Lead and manage site-wide Health, Safety, and Emergency Management systems, ensuring compliance with PNG regulations, industry best practices, and company standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Drive a proactive, zero-harm safety culture.
n
- Maintain and improve the HSE Management System (HSEMS).
n
- Lead risk assessments, hazard management, and critical control verification.
n
- Oversee safety across underground mining, processing, logistics, maintenance, and construction activities.
n
- Manage incident investigations, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting.
n
- Ensure emergency preparedness and response readiness.
n




- Lead safety training, competency, and contractor compliance programs.
n
- Conduct audits, inspections, and safety performance reporting.
n

Must-Have Requirements

n

n
- Degree/Diploma in OHS, Mining Engineering, or related field.
n
- 10+ years' mining safety experience, including underground operations.
n
- Solid knowledge of PNG mining and safety regulations.
n
- Proven leadership, risk management, and incident investigation experience.
n
- Experience in remote, high-risk mining environments.
n
