Lead Electrical Engineer

Based in the Brisbane office, part of the Energy (Transmission & Distribution) team at Aurecon.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- First point of contact with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss and assist with electrical works.
n
- Lead technical design for projects and client portfolios.
n
- Prepare return briefs and fee estimates for engineering opportunities.
n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver complete projects.
n
- Manage, mentor and supervise other engineers.
n
- Build strong client relationships and support driving opportunities to successful outcomes.
n
- Drive continuous improvement and support best‐practice standards.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification.
n
- 10+ years' experience delivering electrical power systems analysis and design of large medium‐voltage embedded networks across sectors including Defence, Airports, Hospitals, Mining, and BESS.
n
- Proven experience with power system analysis,



design and documentation; primary and secondary system substation design; protection scheme design; and earthing design.
n
- Track record delivering impactful outcomes across the full project lifecycle (planning, concept, detailed design, tendering, construction support).
n
- Strong client and contractor interface experience.
n
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- Strategic thinking to see the big picture and challenge assumptions.
n
