- Temporary opportunity available until 28 February 2028

The Library is seeking to fill the role of Product Owner, Trove Roadmap (EL1) on a non-ongoing basis until 28 February 2028.

Role

As Product Owner for the Trove Application Roadmap, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Trove, Australia's leading online discovery platform for cultural heritage, research and knowledge.

This is a unique opportunity to drive the evolution of services used by millions of Australians while working at the intersection of technology, data, libraries, archives, museums and research institutions.

Working as part of a cross-functional product development team, you will lead the translation of business needs into digital solutions, shaping the modernisation of the platforms that underpin Trove's national services. You will collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and senior stakeholders to define priorities and deliver meaningful outcomes for Trove's diverse Partners base and communities.

- You will have strong product leadership and stakeholder engagement skills to bring together business owners, subject matter experts, and technical teams to define priorities, make informed decisions and deliver agreed outcomes.
- You will have experience delivering complex digital or information management projects, with the ability to translate business needs into product requirements, manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity and drive successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
- You will have strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to a wide range of audiences with both technical and non-technical backgrounds.

The Opportunity

This role is only available to ongoing National Library of Australia and APS employees as a temporary transfer at level or temporary higher duties (acting) opportunity until 28 February 2028.

We encourage and welcome applications from people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTQIA+ people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and mature age people.
