We have an exciting opportunity for a highly strategic, creatively driven and commercial Account Director to join our Melbourne team.

n

The Role

As a strategic business leader, you build and nurture senior client relationships, grow business opportunities, and foster a collaborative, high-performing cross-discipline team. You don't just ensure the work gets delivered — you elevate it to award-winning status.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients, shaping their business and marketing strategies.
n
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans to exceed revenue targets.
n
- Prepare accurate client forecasts and identify new organic opportunities.
n
- Lead client WIPs and maintain a proactive understanding of their challenges and opportunities.
n

n

Creative & Innovation Leadership:

n

n
- Champion creativity, driving toward award-winning work that challenges conventions.
n
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate recent technologies, CX innovations, and next-gen processes.
n
- Advocate for and activate the full suite of Akcelo's capabilities to deliver breakthrough solutions.
n

Financial & Operational Excellence:

n

n




- Oversee financial performance of client portfolios, including budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
n
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
n
- Inspire, mentor and grow account team members, fostering a collaborative and imaginative environment.
n
- Lead by example, embodying Akcelo's Genuine, Experimental, Limitless, and Imaginative values.
n

Client Advocacy:

n

n
- Serve as the voice of the client within Akcelo, ensuring alignment of all work to client goals.
n
- Build long-term strategic partnerships that lead to client advocacy and loyalty.
n

n

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

n

n
- Client satisfaction and advocacy scores (e.g., NPS)
n
- Revenue growth and new business conversion within portfolio
n
- Margin achievement (minimum 10% as benchmark)
n
- Team leadership feedback scores
n

n

Your Experience

n

n
- 5+ years in a similar Account Director role within a creative agency.
n
- Proven track record in growing accounts and delivering exceptional client service.
n
- Passionate about big ideas, creativity, and solving complex business challenges.
n
- Integrated marketing experience across Brand, Digital, Film, Social, Retail, CX, PR, Martech, and Customer Lifecycle Strategy.
n
- Inspirational team player who motivates and uplifts those around them.
n
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
n
