The Opportunity
n
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Emergency Services Officers whom have worked in the resources industry for various site based roles.
n
In these highly sought-after roles, you will work an 8:6 roster; some sites require night shifts, while other it is an on-call basic in which you will be remunerated accordingly. You will work in a small, close-knit team with well-rounded medical emergency response and safety professionals.
n
Exposure to Road crashes, Fire, Marine, Ports, Mining, or Crushing operations would be a huge advantage.
n
Duties may include, but are not limited to
n
n
- Respond and coordinate all emergencies onsite
n
- Provide 24/7 onsite medical and pre-hospital emergency care, including necessary assessments and treatments.
n
- Maintain and manage medical and emergency equipment and supplies.
n
- Liaise with medical professionals and the Injury Management Team to coordinate care.
n
- Ensure all medical records, forms, and statutory reporting are completed and confidentially managed.
n
- Uphold compliance with Poisons Licence requirements and relevant legislation.
n
- Support disease prevention strategies and remain current with best practices in patient care.
n
- Review, update, and contribute to Emergency and Safety Management Plans.
n
- Conduct onsite fitness-for-work testing, including drug, alcohol, fatigue, mental health, and hydration assessments.
n
- Participate in risk assessments, inductions, training, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
n
- Promote health and safety, report hazards, and participate in debriefs.
n
- Prepare weekly statistics, conduct inspections, and perform system audits as required.
n
- Delivery of emergency, fire and first aid training on site.
n
n
What will you bring
n
n
- Experience in a same or similar role on site.
n
- Cert 4 or Diploma of Emergency Health Care essential
n
- Cert III Emergency Response & Rescue with Specialised unit, essential
n
- Drug and Alcohol testing
n
- Basic firefighting
n
- Hazmat
n
- Rope Rescue, Confined Space Rescue desirable
n
- BG4 certificate (for our Underground Sites only)
n
- RIIERR303E Operate in self-contained regenerative oxygen breathing apparatus.
n
- RIIERR305E Control underground fire
n
- RIIERR307E Extricate casualties from underground incidents
n
- RIIERR309E Establish and operate from fresh air base
n
- RIIERR403E Lead Rescue teams
n
- C Class Licence Essential, HR/MR Drivers advantage but not essential
n
- Drug and Alcohol testing
n
