The opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced academic leader to join a growing higher education provider as an Associate Dean – Business Studies.

This senior leadership position offers the chance to drive academic excellence, lead curriculum innovation, and contribute to the strategic direction of a dynamic and student-focused institution.

Based within the Faculty of Business, you will provide leadership across undergraduate and postgraduate business programs while fostering a culture of quality, scholarship, and continuous improvement.

n

Your new role Reporting to the Executive Dean, you will lead the delivery, quality, and development of Business programs across multiple campuses and online learning environments.

n

This role combines academic leadership, teaching, governance, compliance, and stakeholder engagement, making it ideal for a senior academic seeking a broad and influential position.

Responsibilities

- Provide leadership across undergraduate and postgraduate Business programs.
n
- Oversee curriculum design, delivery, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Lead and mentor academic staff, supporting capability development and academic excellence.
n
- Promote adherence to higher education quality standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
n
- Contribute to learning and teaching innovation to enhance student outcomes.
n
- Participate in senior leadership and governance committees,



including curriculum and academic quality forums.
n
- Foster strong relationships with students, faculty, industry partners, and external stakeholders.
n
- Maintain engagement with scholarly, professional, and industry activities.
n

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
- Significant experience in an academic leadership position within higher education.
n
- Demonstrated success leading teams and achieving strategic objectives in a collaborative environment.
n
- Strong experience teaching Business disciplines at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
n
- Knowledge of higher education governance, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
n
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive curriculum innovation.
n
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
n
- Experience developing industry partnerships and professional networks.
n
- A PhD (AQF Level 10) or equivalent combination of postgraduate qualifications and relevant leadership experience.
