We are currently seeking a Maintenance / Fitter Assistant to join a busy food production facility in Dandenong.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded, switched on and reliable, with an interest in maintenance and working around machinery.
About the Role
You will work alongside the maintenance team, assisting with general maintenance of machinery and equipment throughout the site.
- Assisting with maintenance on production machinery
- Using hand tools for general maintenance tasks
- Assisting maintenance tradespeople where required
- Carrying out small repairs and maintenance tasks around the siteGeneral site maintenance and upkeep
- Supporting the production team as required
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
About You
You do not need to be trade qualified for this role.
- Mechanically minded
- Switched on and able to learn quickly
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable using basic hand tools
- Practical and hands-on
- Able to follow instructions and work safely
- Willing to get stuck in and assist wherever required
- Forklift licence preferred
Previous maintenance, mechanical, production or hands-on experience will be highly regarded, but the right attitude and mechanical aptitude are more key.
